NEW YORK JWT has filled its lead planning post in London, hiring Hugh Duthie, the former top strategic planner at TBWA\Chiat\Day in New York.

Duthie fills a vacancy left by the January exit of Russ Lidstone, who, along with former JWT managing director Mark Cadman, left for Havas’ Euro RSCG in London.

As planning chief, Duthie will work across JWT London’s roster of clients. The shop works for HSBC, Vodafone, Nestle, Shell, Unilever, Kraft and Kimberly-Clark.

“Now is the time for JWT London to restore its thought leadership and apply a new point of view about consumers and brands in the broadest sense, and Hugh will help get us there,” said office CEO Alison Burns, to whom he reports.
