NEW YORK Euro RSCG's Beth Waxman has landed at JWT here to manage the WPP Group agency's Merrill Lynch account as director-in-charge. Waxman, who started this week, assumes duties previously held by Rob Scalea, chief strategy officer for North America.

At Havas's Euro RSCG in New York, Waxman was co-managing director for client service. Before that, she was director of client integration, working with clients such as Ford Motor Co.'s Volvo. Waxman, 42, spent 10 years at that shop.
In her new post, Waxman reports to Scalea, who leads a consulting practice with clients such as Merrill. The New York-based client, which also uses independent Boathouse in Needham, Mass., for advertising, spent nearly $13 million in major measured media last year and more than $18 million in the first five months of 2005, according to Nielsen Monitor-Plus
