LOS ANGELES The Seattle SuperSonics basketball team has launched a review for its marketing services account, the client confirmed.

Advertising for the National Basketball Association team is currently handled by WongDoody in Seattle. The shop is participating in the review, said client representative Valerie O’Neil.

The team is currently examining its marketing options, including Internet, direct marketing and advertising, O’Neil said. The Sonics have primarily focused on advertising in the past.

A budget has not been determined. The team spent less than $1 million on ads in 2002, according to CMR.
