WongDoody enlisted Peter Chung, best known for creating MTV's Aeon Flux series, to create animation for a national TV ad supporting Psygnosis' new video game, G Police.
The agency, with offices in Seattle and Los Angeles, launched the cable and national TV spot late last month. A second flight begins Dec. 8 on Fox, MTV, ESPN, ESPN2 and the Sci-Fi Channel.
The stylized animated spot shows a futuristic fighter pilot out for revenge against the forces that killed his sister. "You get the fire power. Do you have the guts?" asks a voiceover.
"Our strategy was to communicate the richness and intensity of G Police's dark, futuristic setting," said Ben Wiener, WongDoody's managing partner. "If you want dark, futuristic and intense, Peter Chung's the man."
Chung's other commercial credits include work for Pepsi, Mountain Dew, AT&T, Nike and Levi's.
The G Police TV ad is supported by a cartoon-style print campaign. The ads are running
in gaming magazines through the end of the year.
