Jimmy Dean Foods is talking to Sara Lee roster shops about its $10 million business, left homeless when Dallas agency Berry-Brown Advertising closed in December.

Midwest shops that do work for Sara Lee are among those that were contacted by the Cordova, Tenn., company, best known for its breakfast sausages, sources said.

Jimmy Dean executives have also contacted shops in Dallas and New York, according to sources.

Carolyn Wise, vice president of marketing, confirmed the review but declined to give further details.

Jimmy Dean, started in 1969 by the well-known country singer and actor who long served as his brand’s pitchman, has been owned by Sara Lee since 1985.
