CHICAGO Jim Beam Brands is conducting a search for a new promotions shop, according to a company representative. The company recently parted ways with WPP Group's 141 Worldwide.
"They've decided they need two agencies and we're not going to be one of them," said Jay Farrell, president and regional director of 141 Worldwide in Chicago. He could not offer details on the Deerfield, Ill.-based company's search for a new promotions shop.
A Jim Beam representative confirmed the review and said it would be completed in January. She declined to provide further details.
Jim Beam currently works with TPN in Dallas for its Jim Beam and DeKuyper brands, a relationship that is expected to continue. It's unclear how the business might be divided between two agencies. Total agency revenue for the company's promotions work is estimated at about $2 million.
Client officials did not immediately return phone calls, nor did officials from TPN.
