CHICAGO Colle + McVoy has promoted chief creative officer John Jarvis to president of the nearly $210 million agency.

Jarvis, who has been CCO at the MDC Partners agency since May 2000, assumes the title from Chuck Kushell, who is leaving the shop to pursue other opportunities for the Toronto-based holding company and outside consulting.

"MDC is committed to creating agency cultures that will become magnets for great talent," said Chuck Porter, chief strategist for MDC and chairman of Miami agency Crispin Porter + Bogusky. "John Jarvis is a terrific talent, he's won a boatload of awards and he understand what it takes to attract and keep people just like him."

Jarvis joined the Minneapolis agency after heading his own shop, Lynch Jarvis Jones. He also has been a group creative director at Fallon, a creative supervisor at Martin/Williams and a copywriter at Carmichael Lynch, all in Minneapolis.
