NEW YORK London-based agency Iris this week opened offices in New York and Singapore, according to the company.
Eight employees will staff the shop's New York office under the direction of managing partners Stefan Zoltowski and Matt McRoberts. Zoltowski was most recently a senior account director at Vallance Carruthers Coleman Priest in London, while McRoberts was director of new business and marketing for Alloy Marketing & Promotions in Boston.
Among the New York office's firsts projects is a qualitative study of the changing consumer behavior of Americans in their late 20s and 30s. With significantly more disposable income than teenagers, these young adults have become a crucial demographic for many brands' bottom lines as they marry and settle down later in life than previous generations.
The agency is also opening with assignments from Cingular Wireless, Shell and VitaminWater, according to a representative. Executives hope that they can win more American assignments from clients of their London office, which include Sony Ericsson, Adidas, Coca-Cola and CNN. The agency also will help Manchester United build a following in the United States by launching the soccer team's fan club, "One United: The Official Manchester United Membership."
Founded in 1999 by Ian Millner and Stewart Shanley, Iris has grown to more than 160 employees in five years.
