American Airlines today launches an online campaign on a trio of financial sites aimed at getting the Web’s most adept consumers–online in- vestors–to its site to book reservations. The six-week campaign, via American’s agency Temerlin McClain, Irving, Texas, includes a sponsorship and ad banner rotations across Quote.com, CBS MarketWatch and mutual fund tracker site, Morningstar.net.
Cresting at a pace of 228,000 trades daily, online investors have become the most aggressive shopping segment on the Web. As a result, advertisers, especially those interested in electronic commerce, are increasingly including financial sites in their ad buys.
