In a first for Campbell Soup, the packaged-goods giant has allocated a $1 million-plus Web budget that includes promotion of its redesigned site, plus updates or launches of as many as five separate brand sites. Sources familiar with Campbell’s Web plans estimate the outlay marks a more than four-fold increase in Internet spending for the Camden, N.J.-based company.





Campbell put up its first site in November 1995, but it made no Web ad buys to promote the site, nor did it include the site’s address in TV or print ads.
