Online wedding resource The Knot, New York, announced a strategic partnership with Sandals Resorts, a Caribbean resort company for couples. Under the terms of the agreement, Sandals will be the exclusive honeymoon channel sponsor of The Knot on its Web site and The Knot areas on America Online and several other AOL brands. The Knot also has named AlexBlake.com, a Los Angeles-based online retailer of designer and name brand hosiery, the exclusive provider of hosiery to The Knot.
MessageClick, a New York-based business-to-business messaging company, has introduced Mobile Messaging, a service that allows people to view fax, voice and e-mail messages, and forward faxes using a wireless phone, hand-held computer or personal digital assistants.
InternetCash, a New York-based e-commerce company, has announced that Twec.com, the e-commerce site of entertainment products retailer Trans World Entertainment, Albany, N.Y., is now accepting payment from pre-paid InternetCash cards for online purchases.
Miramax Films has signed on with SightSound.com, a online distributor of movies and music based in Mt. Lebanon, Pa., to allow pay-per-view downloading of 12 films from certain Miramax Web sites. SightSound will encode and encrypt the selected films, which have not been chosen yet, as well as process the e-commerce transactions for Miramax. The film company, meanwhile, will control the Web sites, which will only allow downloads from the United States
