The White House Office of National Drug Control Policy–which plans to spend $1 billion across all media in the next four years to get its anti-drug message across–is ratcheting up its online advertising plans.
Only a small fraction of the budget is expected to go toward the Internet during the course of the program. Still, ONDCP plans to spend $3 million in online advertising through the 12-month period ending in July, a hefty sum by online standards, and especially unusual for an issue-related advertiser.
