NEW YORK Interpublic Group chief human resources officer Brian Brooks is shifting to a consulting role, two years after IPG tapped him to steer recruitment efforts, the company said on Friday.

Temporarily picking up Brooks’ administrative duties is Jeff Mook, 42, senior vice president, executive compensation and benefits. IPG is seeking a permanent replacement for Brooks.

In explaining the move, IPG said that Brooks, 48, wanted to focus exclusively on talent management and recruitment, without the burden of administrative duties.
