NEW YORK Interpublic Group will report its financial results for the second quarter on Aug. 9, the holding company said today.

IPG set the reporting date amid a downtick in its share price, particularly in the past few months. Last week, the stock dipped below $8 a share for the first time since 1991, fueling speculation that the company is fast becoming an attractive takeover target.
