NEW YORK–Interpublic Group on Monday re-scheduled its report on second-quarter earnings and saw its share price swoon by 24 percent.

IPG had planned to reveal its April to June numbers on Tuesday, with an analysts’ call after the close of the market. That report got pushed back a week, however, to Aug. 13.

IPG said the change was made to accommodate its board’s Audit Committee, which had postponed its regular meeting from Aug. 5 to Aug. 12, “so it can complete its review prior to management certification of its financial statements.”
