ATLANTA Fitzgerald + Co. and Austin Kelley Advertising, both Interpublic Group shops in Atlanta, are merging.

The combined entity will have a staff of about 165 people and annual billings of almost $300 million, based on estimates compiled by Adweek.

Austin Kelley will move into Fitzgerald + Co.’s office space in Buckhead by October. The agency will operate under the Fitzgerald + Co. name when the merger is completed.

The merger was suggested late last year by IPG executives in New York, said Dave Fitzgerald, CEO of Fitzgerald + Co.
