Interep Acquires Winstar

Interep Interactive has agreed to acquire Winstar Interactive Media (WIM), an online ad representation company, from Winstar Communications. The acquisition is expected to close in the next month. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Interep Interactive is a division of Interep National Radio Sales, an independent sales and marketing company in the radio industry. Winstar Interactive Media generates advertising sales, creates sponsorship and content syndication packages for 18 branded Web publishers, including Fodors.com, uBid, Kiplinger.com, Entrepreneur.com and Office.com.

Interep Interactive's roster of properties include: Perfect Circle Media, an ad rep firm for online financial sites; BURST!, an ad network serving more than 1.5 billion ad impressions a month across small single-topic Web sites; Annuity, a company that produces local promotions for radio web sites; and a majority interest in Cybereps, a rep firm specializing in ad sales, marketing and streaming media sales for sites and Web networks such as MP3.com, eMarketer, Brand Era, Nua, marketing sherpa.com, adsGuide and AutoWorld.com.
