IMG Makes Room For Rumpus

IMG Licensing, a worldwide sports management and marketing agency, is partnering with online children’s entertainment network Rumpus to create licensing programs for the New York-based company.

Characters such as The Monster Under the Bed, who currently frolic on the Rumpus network in cartoons and video games, may soon appear on children’s sheets, clothing and furniture worldwide, said Larry Schwarz, CEO of Rumpus. The toys can already be purchased on the Rumpus.com site, he said.

“Our strongest brand development started online, because online was available to us, it was a platform where we could take our characters and develop them,” said Schwarz, who said children from all over the world visit the site.
