NEW YORK Ikea has been named Advertiser of the Year by the Clio Awards. The Swedish furniture company will be honored during the Clios Festival Week, May 15-18 in Miami Beach, Fla.

The shop is being honored for its advertising across 31 countries. Miami-based Crispin Porter + Bogusky’s 2002 TV spot “Lamp” for the company, with U.S. headquarters in Plymouth Meeting, Pa., won the Grand Clio for TV last year. It showed an anthropomorphized lamp being tossed out into the rain.
