IHOP Picks Universal McCann in Network Media Buying Review

LOS ANGELES — Interpublic Group of Cos.’ Universal McCann here has won Glendale, Calif.-based restaurant chain International House of Pancakes’ review for its first national media campaign, said IHOP rep Patrick Lenow.

Universal McCann prevailed over sister IPG network Initiative Media North America and independent Horizon Media, both L.A., in the final round, sources said. Horizon is lead agency on the advertiser’s $30 million spot media account. Universal McCann’s sibling McCann-Erickson, Los Angeles, handles IHOP creative.
