NEW YORK HSBC Group, expected by many contenders to chose a holding company team to handle its $600 global marketing services account this week, said on Thursday that it would not make a decision until mid-May or June, and raised the possibility of additional meetings with finalists.

On Wednesday, contenders were awaiting word of a decision as senior HSBC officials met in London to discuss the final presentations that took place two weeks ago. But today, a representative for the London client said the review was “not yet complete” and that “there will probably be other meetings.”
