Publicis has been cut from HSBC Group’s $600 million global marketing services review, leaving teams from IPG, WPP and Omnicom contending, the client said on Friday. The contenders will be briefed on a strategic assignment in early March and make final presentations in May, said Peter Stringham, group general manager of marketing. In between, client executives will visit agency-team offices in the 13 countries where the bank spends the bulk of its marketing dollars, Stringham said.
