Rob Quish Joins JWT in New Global Chief of Staff PositionNEW YORK Former Lowe New York president Rob Quish has joined JWT as a global evp who will act as chief of staff to worldwide CEO Bob Jeffrey. In the new post, Quish, 44, will will work closely with Jeffrey, office CEOs and account chiefs to tackle client issues like work flow. In addition, Quish will lead recruiting efforts, succeeding chief talent officer Marc Capra in that role. (Capra, 48, is shifting to chief innovation officer at JWT in San Paulo, Brazil.) Y&R Confirms Search for WW CEO to Replace Fudge NEW YORK WPP's Young & Rubicam on Friday confirmed that a search is under way for a new worldwide CEO to succeed Ann Fudge. Fudge, however, will remain CEO of the larger group of agencies called Young & Rubicam Brands, an agency representative said. The search for a new CEO, first reported in Adweek on April 4, was expected, given a recent string of client losses (Computer Associates, Jaguar, Sony Electronics), flagging staff morale and what sources have described as Fudge's limited client-handling skills. Y&R confirmed the search in a statement it issued one day after Fudge acknowledged to BusinessWeek Online that Y&R and WPP were seeking a successor.Arnold Launches Branded Entertainment Division BOSTON Havas' Arnold has launched Arnold Entertainment to create original content for entertainment channels including film and television for its clients. The entity will be led by two new hires: exec producer Teddy Lynn and creative director Lee Einhorn. Prior to Arnold, Lynn, 31, was a partner at his own production and management firm, the Lynn Company. Einhorn, 36, was a group creative director at Publicis & Hal Riney in San Francisco. Y&R Replaces Eccleshare With Chairman of Italy Costa WPP's Young & Rubicam has tapped Massimo Costa, chairman for Italy, to succeed William Eccleshare as CEO for Europe, Middle East and Africa. Eccleshare last week said he was leaving his Y&R post to join Omnicom's BBDO as CEO of that region based in London, the agency said. A start date has not yet been determined. Eccleshare, 49, will report to BBDO worldwide CEO Andrew Robertson. Strawberry Frog Picks Up Old Navy ProjectNEW YORK Strawberry Frog has been assigned a project from Old Navy, sources said. The estimated $180 million creative account is handled by Deutsch/LA. "We work with different agencies on projects. The account is not moving out of Deutsch/LA," a client rep said. The rep would not comment on the reported assignment. Both the New York independent and IPG's Deutsch declined comment.New American Legacy Spots Can Be Recorded by TiVo BOSTON The American Legacy Foundation today breaks four spots from its "Fair Enough" campaign via MDC's Crispin Porter + Bogusky in Miami and Havas' Arnold in Boston. The effort will run as a five-minute block of programming on G4, which will make it possible for TiVo users to record the 60-second spots crafted to look like a sitcom. One ad, "Reaching the Target," shows tobacco execs discussing ways to reach their target. One says, "Give freed convicts a gift pack?"
