Prosecutors to Ramp Up Color Wheel ChargesNEW YORK—Federal prosecutors said last week they are planning new, unspecified charges against some of the five defendants in the Grey Advertising/Color Wheel case. The defendants are Color Wheel and its owner, Haluk Ergulec, former Color Wheel print-services salesman Birj Deckmejian, former Quality House of Graphics print-services salesman John Ghianni, and the former head of Grey's print services Mitch Mosallem. All pleaded not guilty. Prosecutors also said they are in plea negotiations with one or more defendants. Ghianni and Deckmejian's lawyers said they were not in plea-bargain talks. Lawyers for Color Wheel, Ergulec and Mosallem did not return calls. JWT, Ogilvy in Shootout for Miller Genuine DraftCHICAGO—Miller Brewing executives heard creative presentations Friday from incumbent J. Walter Thompson, Chicago, for its $50 million Miller Genuine Draft account, sources said. Ogilvy & Mather, New York, which handles Miller Lite, will pitch creative ideas at Miller's Milwaukee headquarters this week, sources said. McCann executives declined comment. A Grey executive said Grey was not pursuing Wendy's due to a conflict with its Dairy Queen client. "Bates USA remains our agency of record. We have a strong relationship with the Wendy's/Bates account team," a Wendy's representative said. Hill, Holliday Preps "Just the Thing" for Dunkin'BOSTON—Dunkin' Donuts on Wednesday will break a new campaign via roster shop Hill, Holliday, Connors, Cosmopulos with the new line "Just the thing." The chain has confirmed that the work is upcoming and said New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady will make an appearance. At least a dozen TV spots, as well as radio, print and outdoor executions, are expected. News Roundup Bonita Coleman is returning to the Chrysler Group as director of Chrysler brand communications, a new post. Coleman will report to Tom Marinelli, vp, Chrysler marketing and vehicle brand team. Coleman worked for Chrysler from 1993 to 2000 in various marketing positions before leaving to co-found Nia Enterprises. … Sirius Satellite Radio is talking to several shops about its creative account, the client said. The account is now at McCann-Erickson in New York, which is not participating, a source said. Sirius spent less than $1 million during the first five months of 2002, per CMR. … Judy Hu joined General Electric as general manager, corporate advertising and marketing communications, effective Aug. 22, GE said. BBDO New York handles GE's North American advertising.
