California Lottery Selects FCB

LOS ANGELES—The California Lottery has named Foote, Cone & Belding in San Francisco as the successful bidder in the review for its five-year, $125 million advertising account, a lottery representative said. FCB pitched with Initiative Media, Los Angeles, which will handle media buying. Finalists also included three Los Angeles agencies: incumbent Grey, DDB and McCann-Erickson. This was the second review conducted by the lottery this year. DDB had been named the successful bidder in a review that concluded in January.
