Florida Tourism Board Delays Review

ATLANTA—Visit Florida’s agency review, scheduled to begin this month, has been postponed until Jan. 9, according to the client. All requests for proposals received at the Tallahassee, Fla., tourism board before Oct. 5 will be considered. Client representative Tom Flanigan said the decision to postpone the review was caused by the “current situation regarding both tourism and our need to respond quickly to developments in the country.” He added that tourism boards for individual destinations have been focusing on in-state and near-drive markets, saying that Visit Florida, a private corporation and the state’s official tourism marketing group, will do the same.
