BT, Boston Beer Reverberate for MMB

BOSTON—McCarthy Mambro Bertino’s loss last week of the creative portion of Boston Beer’s estimated $20-30 million account was softened by the addition of some $5 million in ad chores for British Telecom, which named the shop to promote its teleconferencing, Web conferencing and related services. Boston Beer moved its creative account to New York boutique Big Chair; MMB of Boston had participated in the review. The Boston brewer’s media assignment, which had been with New York’s MediaCom, remains in play, with six agencies emerging as contenders.
