Casey of TJX Cos., Wife of Hill, Holliday Exec, DiesBOSTON—Neilie Casey, 32, of Wellesley, Mass., a merchandise planning manager at TJX Cos., was aboard the hijacked American Airlines Flight 11 on Tuesday. Casey was the wife of Michael Casey, who recently joined Hill, Holliday, Connors, Cosmopulos in Boston as vp of new business. T.J. Maxx and sister chain Marshalls are both Hill, Holliday clients. She also leaves an infant daughter.Fallon Relocates From 'Ground Zero'NEW YORK—Fallon, whose office at 233 Broadway is just a few blocks east of the World Trade Center, has temporarily relocated to the headquarters of sister shop Publicis. Fallon has a staff of about 80. Roughly 60 people were in the office when the first tower was struck on Tuesday, prompting staffers to evacuate the 20th and 21st floors, said John Gerzema, a managing partner. "I left everything on my desk—my passport, my computer," Gerzema said. (The remaining 20 staffers were accounted for by Tuesday night). "This does not come at a time when it's perfect for us given the reality that our space is not yet finished and the city is not yet back to normal," said Robert Bloom, U.S. CEO of Publicis, in a Friday memo to his staff. "But, as my grandmother used to say, 'Life never seems to deliver challenges when things are perfect'."Industry Events Canceled, PostponedNEW YORK—Three associations canceled events in New York last week. The Outdoor Advertising Association of America canceled its national convention that was to begin last Tuesday and include the Obie awards ceremony at Lincoln Center. The events are not likely to be rescheduled. The OAAA is considering holding a press conference at a later date to unveil Obie winners. Also, the Newspaper Advertising Association of America canceled its Athena Awards gala scheduled for last Thursday at the Rainbow Room. The NAA will likely notify winners by mail at a later date, a representative said. The Golden Marble Awards, sponsored by KidsScreen to honor children's advertising, was also canceled. The ceremony, set for Tuesday at the Grand Hyatt hotel in New York, will not be rescheduled; winners will be notified by mail. The Macromedia Web World conference in San Francisco has been postponed. The Forrester Marketing Forum, originally scheduled for Sept. 23-25 at the Marriott Marquis in New York, is also postponed, with a new date to be announced.J.D. The campaign is slated to break early next year.
