Southeast Quartet Shines in One Show ATLANTA--At the 22nd annual One Show awards last week, Loeffler Ketchum Mountjoy of Charlotte, N.C., won two gold and two silver "Pencils" for clients Moon Pie and Outward Bound. The Martin Agency, Richmond, Va., gained two bronze awards for the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum. For the first time, one school, Virginia Commonwealth University Ad Center, swept the college category with gold, silver and bronze Pencils. Cartoon Network's internal agency here earned gold and silver. The most Pencils (10) went to Goodby, Silverstein & Partners, San Francisco. BMP DDB, London, was awarded seven prizes, including best of show. Precision Tune Co-op Narrows to 4 Finalists ATLANTA--Precision Franchises, the Maryland subfranchisor of Precision Tune Auto Care, will meet with four agencies in the next few weeks about its $800,000 local marketing account. Sources said the finalists are: Azzam Jordan in Towson, Md.; Davis Media Group and MGH Advertising, both in Baltimore; and Goldberg.Marchesano.Partners in Washington, D.C. A decision is expected by the end of May. Fahlgren in Merger Talks With Moroch CHICAGO--Fahlgren in Dublin, Ohio, and Moroch & Associates in Dallas are in merger negotiations, the two agencies confirmed last week. Both are McDonald's regional agencies, handling local advertising for nearly one-quarter of the client's 12,400 U.S. restaurants. Southeast Campaigns Roundup The second wave of commercials for the Florida Pilot Program on Tobacco Control depicts adolescents placing "crank" calls to unnamed Hollywood bigwigs, a vending machine firm and an agency that creates tobacco advertising. Miami's Crispin Porter & Bogusky produced the six 30- and 60-second executions, which broke last week on spot network and cable TV in Florida. . . Three 15-second spots introducing the new Independent Bank to its Memphis, Tenn., customer base will break during the final episode of Seinfeld. Archer/Malmo, Memphis, arranged the spot buy and created the commercials, which focus on the "i" in Independent to promote individualized service. . . Push in Orlando, Fla., has launched a trio of 30-second TV spots for Pointe Orlando. Each ad features a fast-talking customer raving about the entertainment complex. Orlando's Cramer-Krasselt recently resigned the business. News Roundup: Zubi Gets More Ford Work Zubi Advertising in Coral Gables, Fla., was named Hispanic agency of record for the $1 million-plus corporate account of Ford Motor Co. Zubi has handled work for the Ford division, a separate piece of business, for more than two years. . . Florida ad man Doug Hardee has joined William Eisner Associates, a $50 million shop in Milwaukee, as executive vice president and creative director. Most recently, Hardee was a partner and creative director at Voodoo in Tampa, Fla.
