Excite Contacts Bay Area Shops SAN FRANCISCO--Internet search engine Excite, Redwood City, Calif., has approached several Bay Area shops about its estimated $7-10 million ad account, said sources. The shops include Citron Haligman Bedecarrƒ, Saatchi & Saatchi and Goldberg Moser O'Neill, said sources. Goodby, Silverstein & Partners and Foote, Cone & Belding have met with the client but are not pursuing the business, said sources. Odiorne Wilde Narraway & Partners, San Francisco, resigned the account last month. Jenny Craig Narrows Contender List LOS ANGELES--Jenny Craig, La Jolla, Calif., has narrowed the list of contenders for its $40 million account to six ad agencies and two media buying services. In addition to incumbents Suissa Miller Advertising and Western International Media, both Los Angeles, the review includes: BBDO West and D'Arcy Masius Benton & Bowles, both Los Angeles; Team One Advertising, El Segundo, Calif.; The Richards Group, Dallas; WongDoody, Santa Monica, Calif., and Seattle; and media buying company Carat ICG, Los Angeles. Jenny Craig executives will visit those shops over the next two weeks. A final decision is expected by mid-August. Consultancy Bob Wolf Partners & Co., Los Angeles, is overseeing the review. TBWA Chiat/Day, ABC: 'We Love TV' NEW YORK--TBWA Chiat/Day is tweaking its high-profile campaign for client ABC Television Network. The Venice, Calif., agency is changing the theme for the campaign's second year to "We love TV," from the previous "TV is good," in new ads breaking today. While many elements from last year remain, including the use of black type on a yellow background, the tone is "more fun and celebratory about TV," said Alan Cohen, ABC executive vice president of marketing. Separately, Cohen said the network has tapped TBWA C/D to handle creative duties for its made-for-TV programming this year. Accounts Roundup ... Ingalls Wins Logitech Logitech Group, Fremont, Calif., has selected Ingalls Moranville, San Francisco, for its estimated $4-10 million global account, according to executives at the client. Other contenders for the computer accessories manufacturer's business, which was resigned by Young & Rubicam earlier this year, were Leagas Delaney and Black Rocket, both in San Francisco. The account includes domestic and international ad duties, as well as media planning in the U.S. ... BBDO West has won a print advertising assignment from Pioneer Electronics' home electronics division, said sources. The Los Angeles shop, which is the Long Beach, Calif.-based company's lead agency, had handled the $4 million home electronics business until last year. Think New Ideas' Hollywood, Calif., office will continue to create promotional, collateral and other materials for Pioneer, according to sources. ... The MGM Grand Hotel and Casino, Las Vegas, will pick a shop for its estimated $5 million account over the next two weeks, said Don Welsh, senior vice president of marketing.
