Midas Hears Media Pitches From 3 Shops
CHICAGO – Midas International heard presentations last week from Foote, Cone & Belding, CPM and Carat ICG, all in Chicago, in the review for its $25 million media buying account, according to sources. FCB handles national creative duties; its TN Media sister company handles network TV buying. Spot TV buying is currently handled by a dozen local agencies. Midas declined to comment on the review.

Leo Burnett, MacManus Advance Talks
NEW YORK – Leo Burnett, Chicago, and The MacManus Group, New York, which in March said they were discussing combining their various European media operations, have unofficially agreed to merge their media capabilities into a stand-alone European unit, sources said.
