Arnold Seeks Polaroid Developments
BOSTON–Arnold Communications here has held meetings with officials at Polaroid Corp. in Cambridge, Mass., sources said. The company agreed to “hear a pitch” from an agency other than its lead shop, Goodby, Silverstein & Partners in San Francisco, according to Polaroid official Bob Guenther. Arnold executives declined comment. Speculation has run high that Goodby’s hold on the lion’s share of Polaroid’s $50 million domestic ad account may be in question because of the agency’s relationship with Hewlett-Packard, which competes with Polaroid in some market segments.
