PentaMark's Clark Seeks No. 2 Executive CHICAGO--PentaMark president and CEO Tom Clark is looking for an executive to fill his president's post, and eventually succeed him as chairman, sources said. The BBDO Worldwide unit oversees the network's three Detroit-area agencies: BBDO Detroit, Ross Roy Communications and PentaCom, which buys media for DaimlerChrysler in North America. Clark, who is expected to retire within three years, is directing the search and would become chairman of the unit. Clark could not be reached for comment. Shevack Nabs $25 Mil. Marine Midland Account NEW YORK--Partners & Shevack/Wolf has won the $25 million Marine Midland Bank account after a three-month review. Shevack will handle creative duties; Wolf Group in Buffalo will service the account and provide direct marketing assistance, among other tasks, said Brett Shevack, chairman of the New York shop. Incumbent Eric Mower and Associates, Syracuse, resigned Marine Midland last August. The bank will change its name to HSBC to reflect its parent, HSBC Group. Temporary Creative Chief at TBWA/C/D NEW YORK--TBWA/Chiat/Day creative director Jerry Gentile has been enlisted to temporarily oversee the New York agency's creative department while it searches for a replacement for Eric McClellan, who left in September. Gentile, known for his work on Sony PlayStation, The Weather Channel and Unocal 76 at the shop's Playa del Rey, Calif., office, will remain until at least March, said sources, who expect a new executive creative director to come from outside the agency. Account Activity Aetna, as expected, has moved the creative portion of its $20 million corporate and retirement services account to Waylon Ad, St. Louis, from Ammirati Puris Lintas, New York, sources said [Adweek, Dec. 21]. Waylon referred calls to Hartford, Conn.-based Aetna, whose executives could not be reached Goldberg Moser O'Neill, San Francisco, was awarded game software developer LucasArt Entertainment's estimated $15-20 million account after a review that included Darien & Kilburg, also San Francisco, and undisclosed Bay Area shops Citizen Watches has narrowed the list of shops for its $12-15 million account to four finalists: DDB Needham, McCann-Erickson, Lowe & Partners/SMS and Deutsch, all in New York, a client representative confirmed. The Lyndhurst, N.J.-based watchmaker parted ways with D'Arcy Masius Benton & Bowles in November Exelon Energy in Philadelphia has reassigned its $8 million ad account to hometown incumbent Tierney & Partners. Holland Mark Martin Edmund, Boston, Earle Palmer Brown, Philadelphia, and Eisner & Partners, Baltimore, were finalists Officials at Bank One, Columbus, Ohio, confirmed they are working with The Bedford Group in Atlanta to find a new agency for its $60 million advertising account.
