4 Make Florida Blue Cross/Blue Shield Finals
ATLANTA--Four shops have made the finals of the review for the $8-12 million account of Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Florida, confirmed a consultant working with the Jacksonville, Fla.-based client. Finalists are incumbent Foote, Cone & Belding of Chicago, BBDO South in Atlanta (pitching with Rapp Collins Worldwide, Irving, Texas), Earle Palmer Brown of Bethesda, Md., and Grey Direct in New York. The four will make their final presentations in early August.

Allied Utility Network Appoints T.G. Madison
ATLANTA--Allied Utility Network here has placed its estimated $5 million account with local shop T.G. Madison. Allied helps electric and gas utilities market retail products and services under the HomeVantage name. Other agencies were not disclosed. The account acquisition boosts T.G. Madison's billings to $40 million.

Yesawich Acquires 2 Clients, Retains Another
ATLANTA--Yesawich, Pepperdine & Brown in Orlando, Fla., has added two accounts and re-signed a third. The shop will handle the advertising and direct marketing of Cancer Treatment Centers of America, with projected billings of $7 million. It also landed the $2 million business of Sandy Lane Resort in Barbados. YP&B inked a three-year extension with the St. Petersburg/Clearwater (Fla.) Area Convention and Visitors Bureau.

New Partners, Name Change at Hughes
ATLANTA--Officials with Hughes Advertising here last week said that Ian Barry and Rich Paschall had been named co-creative directors and partners, and the new name of the shop would be Hughes Barry Paschall. Agency founder and chief executive officer Dorothy Hughes retains her title. Barry arrives from New York's Ammirati Puris Lintas, while Paschall was formerly with Henderson Advertising in Greenville, S.C.

Buntin Group Gets a Hospitable Account
ATLANTA--The Opryland Hospitality and Attractions Group has placed its estimated $2 million advertising and public relations account with The Buntin Group in Nashville, Tenn. Buntin bested a field that included incumbent Ericson Marketing Communications; Dye, Van Mol & Lawrence; and Bohan, Carden & Cherry, all Nashville; and Yesawich, Pepperdine & Brown, Orlando, Fla. Components of the account include the Opryland Hotel, General Jackson Showboat, Springhouse Golf Course, The Inn at Opryland, River Taxis, Music City Queen, Grand Ole Opry Tours and the Opryland KOA Campground.

Shirk Assumes Creative Reins at Crumbley
ATLANTA--Bill Shirk has joined Crumbley & Alba here as executive vice president and creative director. Shirk held a similar post at another Atlanta shop, The Morrison Agency. The personnel move comes weeks after Crumbley & Alba secured the multimillion dollar advertising account of The Athlete's Foot.
