Agencies Advance in Hilton Contest
LOS ANGELES-Hilton Hotels has trimmed the list of agencies competing for its estimated $50 million global ad account. Among the shops advancing, said sources, are: U.S. incumbent Dailey & Associates in Los Angeles, which is teaming with both Lowe Howard-Spink in London and Western International Media in Los Angeles; Young & Rubicam in San Francisco and London; and J.Walter Thompson in San Francisco. Saatchi & Saatchi Pacific in Torrance, Calif., which was defending the business on behalf of international incumbent Saatchi & Saatchi in London, and Ketchum Advertising in San Francisco have been eliminated, sources said.
