Kmart Sets Its Sights on Two Finalists

NEW YORK—Three weeks after seven agencies pitched Kmart’s $100 million account, Kmart is said to be considering two New York shops: TBWA\Chiat\Day and Lowe Lintas & Partners, sources said. Kmart executives, including CEO Chuck Conaway, were in New York Wednesday to visit each agency in what amounted to a chemistry check, sources said. A decision could come as early as this week. The other shops that pitched were FCB in Chicago, Temerlin McClain in Irving, Texas, New York shops Grey Advertising and J.
