Kmart Sets Its Sights on 2

NEW YORK—Three weeks after seven agencies pitched Kmart’s $100 million account, the Troy, Mich., client appears to be focusing on two New York shops: TBWA\Chiat\Day and Lowe Lintas & Partners, sources said. A handful of Kmart executives, including CEO Chuck Conaway, were here Wednesday to spend a few hours at each agency in what amounted to a chemistry check, sources said. A decision could come as early as this week.
