DDB Picking Up Hefty Account CHICAGO--Tenneco Packaging in Pittsford, N.Y., has moved the $15 million account for its Hefty brand to DDB Needham Chicago, according to sources. The account was previously with Jordan, McGrath, Case & Taylor, New York. DDB declined to comment; Tenneco executives could not be reached. Ammirati Chicago Chief to Be Named CHICAGO--Ammirati Puris Lintas is expected this week to name an executive to run its office here. The office is being established to handle creative duties on the $100 million Ameritech account. Carat ICG is expanding its office here to handle media buying for Ameritech. Doe-Anderson Expands Standard Register Work CHICAGO--Doe-Anderson Advertising in Louisville, Ky., was assigned a new $3-5 million corporate positioning account from The Standard Register Co. in Dayton, Ohio. The agency already handles advertising for the client's healthcare market segment. Burnett Launches Cheese Campaign CHICAGO--Leo Burnett last week launched its first work for Rosemont, Ill.-based Dairy Management. A holiday TV spot is tagged, "Behold the power of cheese." The tag will continue in five new TV spots and print ads breaking Feb. 23. Burnett was assigned the estimated $40 million cheese account in August. C-K Invests in Interactive Shop CHICAGO--Cramer-Krasselt here announced it has purchased a minority stake in Level Nine, an interactive shop with offices in Montpelier, Vt., and Dundee, Scotland. The agencies have worked together before, most notably for Wausau Insurance Cos. P&G Sells Duncan Hines to Aurora CHICAGO--Aurora Foods in Columbus, Ohio, acquired the Duncan Hines baking mix business from Procter & Gamble, Cincinnati. Terms were not disclosed. N.W. Ayer & Partners, New York, is the agency for Duncan Hines, which received $20.5 million in ad spending from P&G in 1996, according to Competitive Media Reporting. Ogilvy & Mather, Chicago, is agency for Aurora, which markets the Mrs. Butterworth's and Log Cabin syrup brands. Aurora said it has not determined the future agency assignment for Duncan Hines. Leap Registers Net Loss for Third Quarter CHICAGO--The Leap Group here reported a net loss of $3 million for the third quarter ended Oct. 31, down from net income of $435,000 for the same period a year ago. Revenues for the company, which includes ad agency The Leap Partnership and One World Communications, were reported as $7.2 million, up 44 percent from $5 million in the third quarter of 1996. The company's loss included a one-time $1.2 million restructuring charge, stemming mainly from the opening of its Los Angeles office earlier this year.
