"Austin Kelley Makes MPA Award Finals ATLANTA-A print campaign from Austin Kelley Advertising for Barn Fly, a maker of Western-style apparel, has landed the Atlanta agency a Kelly Award nomination from the Magazine Publishers of America. "State of Georgia to Hear From 3 ATLANTA-The Georgia Department of Industry, Trade and Tourism has selected contenders for its $2 million ad account, according to Randall Morris, deputy commissioner of the client's marketing division. They are Clarion Marketing and Communications, Pollak Levitt & Nel and incumbent J. Walter Thompson, all Atlanta, according to sources. Morris said oral presentations from the remaining agencies would be made in mid-May, with a winner announced soon after. "West & Vaughn Loses Triton to Margeotes NEW YORK-Margeotes/Fertitta + Partners here has snagged the $10-12 million creative and media account of Triton PCS, Malvern, Pa., after a review. The New York shop beat finalists Kirshenbaum Bond & Partners and Warwick Baker O'Neill, both New York, for the business. Margeotes replaces West & Vaughn, Durham, N.C. "EPB Acquires Creative Partners NEW YORK-Earle Palmer Brown has acquired Creative Partners, a Purchase, N.Y.-based design firm with $6 million in capitalized billings and seven employees. Terms were not disclosed. Roy Estrow, 40, founded Creative Design in 1986 and will become a partner in the new company, to be known as Earle Palmer Brown/Design. "4A's Honors Eisner, Others AMELIA ISLAND, FLA.-The American Association of Advertising Agencies has awarded the 1999 O'Toole Agency Award for overall creative excellence to BBDO, New York, in the category of agencies with billings of more than $30 million and Dweck & Campbell, New York, in the category of agencies with billings of less than $30 million at its annual meeting held last week at the Ritz Carlton here. O'Toole multicultural awards were given in three categories: Vigilante, New York, was honored for work targeting African Americans; Bromley Aguilar & Associates, San Antonio, Tex., and Conill Advertising, New York, tied for ads aimed at Hispanics; and PanCom International took first place in the "other multicultural" category. O'Toole public service awards were awarded to Eisner & Associates, Baltimore, in the broadcast division and Asher & Partners, Los Angeles, for print work. "Levitz Narrows List ATLANTA-Betsi O'Neil, vice president of advertising and sales for Levitz Furniture in Boca Raton, Fla., said the company has cut its contender list to a few undisclosed shops. A decision is expected in May, and O'Neil said it is possible the company may trim the list one more time before final presentations are made. The account is currently with Bozell Retails in New York, which is not participating in the review.
