Maroun Steps Aside at TBWA/C/D
NEW YORK–Mary Maroun has left her post as managing director of TBWA/Chiat/Day, as expected, sources said [Adweek, Feb. 8]. Maroun, 42, had worked at the agency here for about a dozen years, the last two as managing director. That position became superfluous earlier this month when the network named Carl Johnson president and chief executive of the $250 million shop. Maroun could not be reached for comment.
Qwest Talks to Shops About Brand Direction
NEW YORK–Qwest Communications has met with a handful of shops to “discuss ideas and concepts on brand strategy and direction,” confirmed a client representative, who would not divulge names.
