Rollerblade has tapped an agency headed by its former vice president of marketing to develop new marketing programs.
Mary Horwath, principal of Marketing by Horwath in Minneapolis, said she will be working with the company’s marketing department on a variety of assignments, the first of which is the development of Blade Jam, a six-city tour combining music and skating.
Goldberg Moser O’Neill in San Francisco is Rollerblade’s agency of record.
Horwath, Rollerblade’s vice president of marketing from 1986 to 1993, developed the marketing programs that helped the company grow from a $2 million hockey-training firm to a $100 million leader in the in-line skate category.
