Horror Channel Selects CWR

BOSTON The Horror Channel has tapped CWR & Partners to handle public relations surrounding its impending launch as the first cable channel dedicated to the horror genre, the agency said.

"CWR really impressed us with their knowledge of the broadcast media and the remarkable work they have done for other broadband, television and entertainment clients," said Nick Psaltos, founder and general manager of the Horror Channel, in a statement. "Their appeal as an agency is that they are small, personable and experienced in this field, and the owners of the firm are involved with everything. They truly know the media, know their clients and know how to get results."

Independent CWR in Attleboro, Mass., was established in 2001, and has worked with several TV clients including the Q Television Network. CWR won the business after a review of undisclosed contenders. The budget was not disclosed.

"The horror fan base has been underserved for so long, and we are thrilled to use our experience and skills to bring this channel into the mainstream," said Kelly Cinelli, principal of CWR, in a statement. "We are happy to add a second television network to our client roster. We have first-hand experience launching a cable network, and we are very excited about this opportunity."
