LOS ANGELES Hoover said it has awarded creative chores on its ad account to Omnicom Group’s TBWA\Chiat\Day.

Omnicom sibling DDB in Chicago was the runner-up to TBWA\C\D’s office in Playa del Rey, Calif.

Sources valued the business awarded to TBWA\C\D at $25 million. Hoover spent $45 million advertising in 2004, according to Nielsen Monitor-Plus.

Publicis Groupe’s Fallon in Minneapolis and Dentsu’s DCA Advertising in New York also competed in earlier stages of the review.

Omnicom’s Element 79 in Chicago was the incumbent.
