BOSTON — Following a review of undisclosed agencies, Digitas has been tapped by Home Depot for direct marketing, a client representative said.

For now, the Boston shop is on board on a project basis pending the finalization of a retainer arrangement, the client representative said.

However, Jerry Shields, Home Depot’s senior public relations manager, said negotiations were still in progress, and a winner will not be disclosed until next month.

The assignment, a new one for the Atlanta-based chain, is estimated at $8-10 million.
