Having called off a review for a lead shop on its $15 million creative account to instead work with agencies on a project basis, The History Channel has enlisted Smash Advertising in Boston to create ads for Russia: Land of Tsars. The program is set to air May 26-27. Smash had previously worked with the client and sibling A&E. An internal marketing team will oversee The History Channel’s branding, while various shops will handle consumer print.
