BOSTON Hill, Holiday, Connors, Cosmopulos said it has named Lesley Bielby executive vice president of strategy and planning.
Bielby, 42, will oversee those functions for Hill, Holliday's operations in Boston, New York, Miami, Greenville, S.C., and San Francisco.
"I'm a firm believer in promoting and delivering on planning's original task, primarily as a creative function. It leads to better, more relevant, insightful, targeted and successful ideas," said Bielby, in a statement.
She succeeds Justin Holloway, who is in the process of leaving Hill, Holliday to return to his native U.K., the agency said.
"Her insight, philosophy and methodology around planning make her a clear asset to the agency and value to clients," said Karen Kaplan, president of the agency's headquarters office in Boston, where Bielby will be based.
She had previously served as director of planning for two years at the Interpublic Group agency's New York office. Prior to that, she held similar posts at Merkley + Partners in New York and McKinney in Durham, N.C.
Bielby most recently helped develop brand ideas used in Hill, Holliday campaigns for the American Red Cross, the Cleveland Clinic and the United States Tennis Association.
Hill, Holliday claims close to $1 billion in overall billings, working for clients such as CVS, Dunkin' Donuts and Liberty Mutual. The shop added the $20 million business of Smith Barney last month following a review.
