Media executive Elizabeth Herbst-Brady has plenty of experience on the selling side of the business. But starting in September, she will get a different perspective in her new role as director of broadcast investment for Starcom USA.

It’s a job where she expects to be involved in the discipline’s innovative side, as she noted that media shops are coordinating deals that stretch across sibling networks. “I see the agencies as pivotal as to how this industry is going to evolve,” said the 43-year-old executive.

Most recently evp of advertising sales at Universal Television, Herbst-Brady will be responsible for TV buying for all Starcom clients, including Kellogg’s, which spent about $350 million on TV ads in 2003, according to Nielsen Monitor-Plus, and the U.S.
