DALLAS–David Henke abruptly vacated his post as executive director of creative services at Temerlin McClain in Irving, Texas, last week, ending a seven-year run as head of the agency’s creative operations.





Scott Bennett, director of Temerlin McClain Public Relations, declined to discuss reasons for the parting or say whether Henke resigned or was forced out.





‘All I can confirm is that he is no longer with the agency,’ Bennett said.





Henke could not be reached for comment at press time.





A source familiar with the agency’s creative department said staffers were informed of Henke’s departure last week, adding that the news took many by surprise.





Bennett said agency president Dennis McClain will spend an increased amount of time personally overseeing creative.





Bennett would not comment on speculation that Henke’s departure was tied to dissatisfaction with the agency’s overall creative product.
