Five key staffers at Katsin/Loeb Advertising Inc. have joined crosstown rival Gardner Geary Coll and brought along such accounts as Fireman’s Fund Insurance, Escalate and Yale-New Haven Hospital.

Those moving include Dan Katsin, co-founder and president of Katsin/Loeb, and Carlton Taylor, head creative.

Jeff Loeb, the other Katsin/Loeb co-founder, quit last month to free-lance.

Katsin/Loeb listed $46 million in billings last year and 36 employees. Its continuing status could not immediately be determined.

“I’ve known Dan for years, and he and he and his people will be a great addition to our agency.
