Do people really think the grass is always greener on the other side of the fence? Quite the contrary. On a range of issues, polls often find people have a sunnier view of their own situation than of conditions in the wider world. Healthcare, including its cost, is a prime example. For all the lamentation about the healthcare system in the U.S., a poll by ABC News, the Kaiser Family Foundation and USA Today finds a majority of Americans satisfied by their personal experience with it.

For starters, 89 percent of respondents said they’re satisfied with the quality of the healthcare they receive.
